Unless stated otherwise, the content of this site is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You may share and adapt it for any purpose, including commercially, as long as you give appropriate credit (Facundo Dimotta, ZeroCross), link to the source and indicate if changes were made. Each publication includes a suggested citation.

Third-party data

The license above covers the text, figures and analyses written for this site. It does not extend to the underlying data from third parties, which remain subject to their own terms.

Electricity data in the publications. Some studies in Publications are research carried out by the author on information from the public website of CAMMESA (Compañía Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico S.A.), in particular its monthly database (Base del Informe Mensual), for non-commercial purposes. What this site publishes is the result of that research: the author’s own models, estimates, error measures, statistics, indices and conclusions, and figures of those results. It does not reproduce, modify, distribute or transmit that information: it does not show the original data, series or tables, does not chart them, and does not offer them for download. The results are the author’s own analysis and interpretation; they are not official figures, and CAMMESA has not taken part in, reviewed or endorsed them. Anyone who wants the original information should obtain it directly from CAMMESA, under its terms and conditions.

Open data. The following sources are published under open licenses and may be reused with attribution:

  • Ministerio de Economía de la Nación, Subsecretaría de Programación Macroeconómica: Demanda de electricidad (monthly series compiled from CAMMESA data), on datos.gob.ar, CC BY 4.0.
  • Secretaría de Energía, ENARGAS and other agencies on datos.gob.ar, including the CAMMESA publications released there: CC BY 4.0.
  • Open-Meteo and ERA5 (Copernicus Climate Change Service): weather data under CC BY 4.0.
  • NASA POWER (NASA Langley Research Center): daily temperature, free to use with credit to the POWER Project.
  • Servicio Meteorológico Nacional: daily data by weather station, under CC BY 2.5 Argentina.

Sources are cited by publisher and dataset name, with a link to the publisher’s website rather than to individual files: anyone who needs the data should obtain it from the publisher, under its own terms. - INDEC (2022 National Census) and the Observatorio del Conurbano, UNGS: public statistics, cited at the point of use.

Requests. If CAMMESA or any other rights holder considers that content on this site goes beyond the permitted use of their information, please contact the author through LinkedIn. The content will be reviewed and, where appropriate, modified or removed promptly.

Data panels

The Data section is built only from the open sources listed above. Its indicators are the author’s own processed results, not official figures, and they may change when the sources revise their data or when the method is corrected; changes are recorded on each panel. The panels can be consulted on this site but do not offer data for download; anyone who needs the data should obtain it from the sources cited on each panel, under their own licenses.

Safety

The studies on this site involve power electronics and low and medium voltage systems. Working with mains voltage is dangerous and can cause death, serious injury, fire or damage to property. Any implementation of the circuits or ideas discussed here must be carried out only by qualified personnel, with proper safety equipment and in compliance with local electrical codes.

No warranty

The content is published for educational and research purposes, as is, without warranty of any kind. The studies are simulations with stated limitations; they are not designs ready for use and are not a substitute for a project developed for a specific installation. The author is not liable for damages arising from the use of this material.

No professional relationship

Reading this site or contacting the author does not establish a professional or client relationship.

Privacy

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read, from which countries and through which links people arrive. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*, kept for up to two years) and receives your IP address, which Google does not store in Google Analytics 4, together with technical details such as browser, device type and approximate location. The author only sees aggregated reports; this data is not used to identify you, for advertising or for profiling, and is not shared with anyone else. Google processes it under its own privacy policy.

On your first visit a notice informs you about these cookies. You can turn analytics off at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page, block cookies in your browser, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same without them.

The site does not use any other cookies, has no forms, comments or accounts, and collects no other personal data. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site, under its own privacy policy.
